Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for Teens in Mission Viejo

Our highest level of outpatient care: structured daily treatment for your teen while they keep living at home and keeping up with school.

What is a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for teens?

A Partial Hospitalization Program is a structured level of outpatient treatment. At The Bridge OC, PHP is our highest level of outpatient care: your teen receives intensive daily support while still living at home and maintaining their education.

We build a highly personalized treatment plan anchored in your child's specific needs, and we involve your whole family, because the strongest recoveries happen when the family heals together.

What PHP includes each week

Every level of care at The Bridge OC exceeds the expected standard with weekly individual, family, and multi-family support.

2 individual therapy sessions

Weekly, 50 minute sessions with master's-level therapists addressing your teen's mental, physical, and emotional needs.

1 family therapy session

Private weekly sessions with a dedicated therapist so the whole family heals together.

Weekly Multi-Family Group

A therapist-led group that improves communication and boundaries, and connects you with parents facing similar challenges.

Group counseling

Peer groups including gender-specific, coping skills, anger management, and behavioral therapy.

Psychiatric evaluation and medication management

Our Medical Director, Dr. Alejandro Alva, and his team provide a full psychological evaluation upon admission and manage medications, if applicable, alongside your current physician as needed.

In-person care is most effective, but when schedules or distance make that hard, we can facilitate virtual sessions.

Is PHP the right level of care for my teen?

We offer two levels of care based on what will best support your teen's journey. After a free, confidential assessment, our team will recommend the level that fits, and we can adjust as your teen progresses.

As your teen grows stronger, our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers flexible transitional care, and graduates are invited to our free Alumni Program for ongoing weekly support.
