global missions

Global Missions at The Bridge is focused on connecting our church family with what the Lord is already doing in the nations!  We actively seek opportunities to be His hands and feet in the countries and cultures where He calls us, both through short-term missions and through long-term partnerships.

We value and develop missional relationships that allow us to answer His call to make disciples of all nations.  In addition, we encourage and mobilize God’s people — of all ages — to join Him in bringing the Gospel to every tongue and tribe!

The Global Missions Fund (GMF) is the vehicle by which all Global Missions activities at The Bridge are resourced.

Gifts to the GMF are used to support our Global Missions Partners and to resource other missional activities as the Lord leads.  The GMF is overseen and stewarded by The Bridge Missions Council.

Global Missions Partners are individuals and missional organizations with whom strategic long-term relationships have been established.  These individual and organizational partnerships each reflect a unique aspect of the missional call for The Bridge family in specific ministries, countries, or cultures.

We currently have 4 Global Missions Partners.

Casa Hogar Alegre

An orphanage started by Elizabeth Castelazo (Mama Liz) in 1993, it is a refuge for abused and abandoned children. The children are educated, clothed, fed, & given the opportunity to discover the hope found in Jesus Christ.

Connie & Andrew Taylor

Connie leads YWAM Cambridge & Andrew leads the Cambridge House of Prayer. They lead a 9 month & 5 month Discipleship Training program. In September 2016 a 9 month School of Biblical studies is scheduled to begin.

Garry & Brenda Kean

Their main ministry focus is Jacaranda Community. It includes a local church, a sewing ministry, health care, child sponsorship tutoring and a school. They serve families in the Kibera slums, the largest urban slum in all of Africa.

Global Relief Mission (GRM)

Since 1953 GRM is building on partner relationships with the national pastors and leaders. Encouraging and resourcing both pastors and national church leaders as they take the lead in sharing the Good News.

Short-Term Missions

Short-Term Missions opportunities have a regular rhythm at The Bridge!  Whether it’s a multi-generational cross-border weekend mission to an orphanage in Mexico, a disaster-relief mission to help rebuild on a Caribbean island, or multi-week mission to work alongside missionaries in Africa, there are always opportunities for individuals at The bridge to answer Jesus’ call to make disciples of all nations!

Jesus said “The harvest is plenty, but the workers are few.” (Matthew 9:37)

Are you ready to work?  Then you are qualified to be part of a short-term mission at The Bridge!

As an advisory body made up of individuals with a heart to mobilize God’s people into Global Missions, we oversee and advise all Global Missions activities and steward the Global Missions Fund.

If you have any questions about Global Missions at The Bridge, our partners or the GMF, we’d love to talk with you.
