I’m Dan Rupple. I have been married to the love of my life – Peggy Rupple – for over 35 years. We have 3 married kids: Nathan, Justin & Lauren. They have blessed us with 5 grandchildren and happily transformed us into obsessive grandparents.
I have had the joy to serve for the past 35 years in both pastoral ministry and within the entertainment industry. I am an ordained Foursquare Pastor and have ministered with 4 different church staffs. I’ve been serving in a pastoral role at the Bridge since we launched in 2004.
For 10 years I was a Supervising Producer for CBS Television, producing The Price Is Right and The Late Show with David Letterman. Prior to that I was a founding member of the Christian comedy team Isaac Air Freight.
I have a passion to mentor young Christian leaders and encourage a new generation of filmmakers. Greatest joy in ministry is to see someone enter into all that God has for them.
Whatever I am currently reading – which now is “Wired For Story” by Lisa Cron.
My wife’s spaghetti and meatballs.
The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
What do you do in your spare time?
Comedy writing, camping and just hanging with the family.
What is a little known fact about you?
I shook hands with Pope John Paul II while I was standing between Bob Hope and Charlton Heston. Wonder if he thought, “Who’s the yahoo in the middle?”
